the evolution

This blog began its humble origins in 2002. Through the years, this blog has undergone several transformations in parallel with the revolution of myself. I am certain that there will be many more re-imaginings as I continue to grow, learn, experience and live.

"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."

- George Bernard Shaw

Daily Dosage of Tammy
2002 - 2008
Formerly known as Daily Dosage of Tammy from 2002 to 2008, this was the place to find out about interesting (and not so interesting) happenings in my daily life. To be honest, it was poorly written, banal drivel. And that description is rather generous. The simplest and easiest way to explain this was the lack of maturity, experience, and age during those years. While those were indeed factors that contributed to the trite content presented in the earlier years of this blog, I am willing to admit to my naivete in believing that people were actually interested and fascinated by the pedestrian problems and events in my somewhat boring, needlessly dramatic life. I have toyed with the idea of removing these years completely, but I find it difficult to do so as it has catalogued my life through those times. Despite the uninspiring and some times wearisome posts, it held importance and value to me in the past. For those reasons, it will remain as part of this blog's history. I can only suggest (read: strongly advise) readers to avoid this period as it is not a good representation of myself or this blog.

my take on it
2008 - 2010

Late 2007 through 2008 proved to be an eye-opening time for me. The change from the mundane to the thought-provoking questions on life, work, and love is reflected in the posts during this period of time. With this revolution came an update to the name and skin of this blog. my take on it became a deeper reflection of myself and opinions of things not just in my life but also in the world abroad. This was about a look at life's coincidences and incidents from my view. It's about seeing, examining, and interpreting life in the eyes of an eternal optimist and romantic. There were many sad, yet hopeful postings during this time, so I urge you, reader, to take a moment and find the light at the end of every tunnel, as I had done during this time.

my take on it
2010 - Present

There have been many struggles in the years leading up to 2010. Today, I am better, stronger, and more determined than ever to live, work, and love to my full ability. I am taking that hope from previous years and turning it into reality. This is the time to spread my wings and fly.
